2011 Freestyle Workshop to be Held in Sydney

The International Dressage Officials Club (IDOC) and the Australian Dressage Committee (ADC) arehosting the 2011 Freestyle Workshop directly following the 2011 CDI Sydney on Sunday 1 May 2011.

This workshop has been put together to assist riders, coaches, trainers, judges and the general public on freestyle competitions.

The workshop will be held at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre at Horsley Park and the entrance fee is $100 per person (all inclusive) This workshop can be used by both judges and coaches for re-accreditation purposes

Presenters and guest Speakers are Mariette Withages (BEL), Dieter Schuele (GER), Prof. Steinke (GER), Mary Seefried (AUS), Virginia Creed (AUS), Susie Hoevenaars (AUS) and Australian WEG team riders Brett Parbery and Rachael Sanna.

The sessions will range on topics such as the history of freestyle & do’s & dont's of the Freestyle (Withages), putting a freestyle together from riders’ point of view (Parbery and Sanna) and Music for Freestyles: The relationship between music and choreography (Withages, Schu?le, Steinke and  Creed).

"This is a workshop for all; riders , coaches and judges who need to touch on the basics and improve the sophistication of the understanding by riders and judges of freestyle composition, music and judging," said Leanne Kingsbury of the Australian Equestrian Federation.
