Ralph-Michael Rash Appointed Spanish Junior and Young Riders Team Trainer

German Ralph-Michael Rash will be succeeding Jan Nivelle as official Spanish team trainer for the junior and young riders. Rash will take up this new function as of 1 January 2010 replacing Nivelle who covered the position since 2007.

The Spanish Equestrian Federation announced this news on 23 December 2010 adding that Rash's "training qualifies him as a professional rider, stable manager and trainer." after getting taught at the DOKR in Warendorf."

Rash pursued a course of study at the Trainers' Academy in Cologne and underwent training at the DOKR facility in Warendorf. He also qualified as a state-certified trainer and Grand-Prix judge. As director of the Deutsche Reitschule in Warendorf he was responsible for the training, examination and further training of German professional riders at national level for eleven years. For another eleven years he owned Stable "Hesselhof".

Rash acquired his own skills by training with legends such as Ottokar Pohlmann, Herbert Rehbein, Fritz Tempelmann, Siegfried Peilicke, Willi Schultheis, Harry Boldt, Jean Bemelmans and Heinz-Dieter Donner.

Rash's first clinic for the Spanish Junior and Young riders will be held in February 2011.
