The Dutch Equestrian Federation (KNHS) has been actively promoting the development of talented young horses. In 2010 KNHS and KWPN jointly instated a special young horse show circuit called the KNHS Subli Championship, sponsored by horse feed company Subli. On 27 and 28 December the first finals of the Championship for 4, 5 and 6-year olds take place in Ermelo, The Netherlands.
Former World Young Horse Champion rider Miranda Rongen was one of the strongest performers in the Subli cup qualifiers this season. Aboard the 4-year old Rhinelander stallion Sir Fashion (by Sir Donnerhall x Rosenkavalier) and the 6-year old Hanoverian Delatio (by De Niro x Rubinstein) Rongen provisionally placed first in the horses' age divisions. The provisional leader in the 5-year old division is Laurens van Lieren with the KWPN stallion Avanti (by United).
"Now I have the opportunity to give my young horses show experience," said Miranda Rongen. "The competitions are well organized and it's nice to ride tests in a 20 x 60 arena."

The 2010 Subli Championship Finals will be judged by Johan Hamminga, Adriaan Hamoen, Jan Peeters, Eddy de Wolff-Van Westerrode, Karin Retera, Matty Boomaars, Jan Enne Kloosterboer, Else Mouw and Mariette Sanders-Van Gansewinkel.
