Imhotep, the 2010 Trakehner Stallion Licensing Champion, will be standing at stud at Gestut Böckmann in Lastrup, Germany. Owner Freiberger Hof came to an agreement with Gilbert Böckmann to stand the black stallion for the 2011 breeding season.
"We're very happy tho have this special Gribaldi son at our station and are sure that many breeders will be very interested in him," said Böckmann.
The Danish bred Imhotep enthused the crowds at the 2010 Trakehner Stallion Licensing in Neumunster several weeks ago. The Gribaldi x Hohenstein x Schwadroneur offspring is bred by Belinda Pedersen and Preben Rasmussen.
"He's a very interesting horse with swinging movements and desirable pedigree. He have high hopes in him," said German trainer Wolfram Wittig who has been closely connected to the Freiberger Hof and who will help in the training of the stallion.
Imhotep will be presented under saddle at the Stallion Show in Munster/Handorf on 12 February 2011 and at the Bockmann stallion show in Vechta on 5 March 2011.
