Louise Nathhorst's black Grand Prix horse Guinness has passed away at age 20. The Danish warmblood branded stallion (by Dolomit x Elizar x Asferg Cyklo) suffered from ataxia and was euthanized.

Guinness was bred in Denmark by Bente Finnerup and licensed for the Swedish warmblood society.

Under Louise Nathhorst, the black became the 2000 Swedish Dressage Champion in Enköping and qualified for the Swedish team to compete at the Sydney Olympics, but an injury prevented them from going. Four years later, however, "Lussan" and Guinness did compete at the Olympics in Athens and finished 31st in the Grand Prix. The pair was also on the Swedish team at the 2001 and 2005 European Championships and participated in the 2006 World Cup Finals. They were silver medallists at the 2006 Swedish Championships

"He was the boss at the stable at home in Hogsta," said Nathhorst. "He was in total control even when I came into the barn and went to another horse."

Guinness retired from international competition in the winter of 2008 at age 18. Last year round Christmas Clara Espinosa rode him in the Grand Prix freestyle at a show in Hogsta.

Guinness also produced successful offspring, including Nathhorst's Grand Prix horse Isidor and Malin Baryard's show jumper Espri.
