Status Symbol, Price Highlight of the 2010 Westfalian Elite Auction

The 3-year old black stallion Status Symbol (by Showmaker x Landro L) became the price highlight of the 2010 Westfalian Elite Auction in Munster-Handorf, Germany, on 3 October 2010.

 The black dressage prospect, bred by Magdalena Post, sold for 250,000 euro to a Hamburg based dressage rider. 

The second most expensive horse was the 4-year old mare Sissy von der Heide (by Sandro Hit x Fidermark x Weltmeyer). Bred by Manfred Rüter, this bay mare sold for 110,000 euro. The 4-year old stallion Eure Exzellenz (by Ehrentusch x Ferragamo x Florestan) sold for 65,000 euro to the Hamburg area.

The most expensive pony was the bay Champagner de Luxe (by Champion de Luxe x Golden Dancer). The 3-year old bay stallion, bred by Karl Dercks, achieved a knock down price of 35,000 euro.

The best selling broodmare was Liza Minelli (by Laudabilis). This 6-year old bay mare, in foal to Florestan, sold for 11,500 euro to Great Britain.

Fifty sport horses were sold at this auction and they achieved an average price of 27,410 euro. The licensed stallion Bravissimo (by Belissimo M x Lord Sinclair) was withdrawn from the auction.
