580,000 euro for San Doncisco at 2010 Vechta Elite Auction

Sissy Max-Theurer paid the staggering amount of 580,000 euro for the 3-year old Oldenburg bred San Doncisco M OLD at the 2010 Vechta Autumn Elite Auction in Vechta, Germany, on 2 October 2010.

The bay Sandro Hit x Donnerhall offspring, which became the 2010 Bundes- and Oldenburg Champion, sold to the Austrian Olympian after a tough bidding duel against buyers from Denmark and Switzerland.San Doncisco's current rider and trainer Kira Wulferding will continue to ride the impressively moving horse, which will be stabled at Max-Theurer's Gestut Vorwerk in Cappeln, Germany.

The Luttgen family purchased the second most expensive horse of the auction, D'Arcy Diamond (by De NIro x Sevillano xx) for 165,000 euro. A Russian buyer got the 3-year old stallion Rock for Hit (by Rock Forever x Sandro Hit) for 100,000 euro.

Monaco based German Bernadette Brune acquired Dairy Dream (by Duino x Rubinstein) for 90,000 euro and Semper Fidelis (by Sir Donnerhall) for 60,000 euro.

The best selling show jumper was Lady Furtago (by Landgold x Grand Step) which sold for 33,000 euro to Gestut Floggensee.

The most expensive foal at the auction was Feuerbal, a Furstenball x Akzent I colt. Lone Boegh Henriksen, the owner of Furstenball, paid 40,000 euro for the foal.

Fifty-four horses sold in total for an average price of 42,917 euro.
