Fine and Smart, Price Highlight of 2010 Prinsjesdag Foal Auction

2010 Prinsjesdag Foal Auction

The super moving colt Fine and Smart became the price highlight of the 2010 Prinsjesdag Foal Auction held in Ermelo, The Netherlands, on 21 September 2010. The bay colt by Sorento out of a Jazz x Wolfgang dam sold for 44,000 euro to Barend Tamerus.

One of the eye catchers of the auction was an unborn embryo by Totilas out of the Dutch Grand Prix mare Reine B (by Rubinstein). Two ladies from Berlin purchased this unborn foal for 32,000 euro. 

Several foals owned by Haras de Hus were sold at this auction. Poeme de Hus, a Fidermark out of clone mare Poetin Z (by Sandro Hit x Brentano II) sold for 32,000 euro, while Dyor de Hus (by De Niro out of La Traviata (a full sister of Sandro Hit)) sold for 30,000 euro. 

Breeder Otto Boje Schoof sold two jumper colts for top prices. My Way (by My Lord Carthago) sold for 33,000 euro, Cosimo (by Conway II) for 12,000 euro.
