Frank van de Valk and Jacqueline van Anholt have been named KWPN Breeders of the Year 2010 at the 2010 KWPN Paardendagen in Ermelo, The Netherlands, on 20 August 2010.
The breeders' duo produced Grand Prix stallion Painted Black (by Gribaldi x Ferro) and licensed stallion Zizi Top (Tango x Ferro). .
"If a breeder is able to breed a KWPN licensed stallion, this is amazing. If a breeder is able to breed two licensed stallions this is special. If one of those licensed stallions is also part of the world's best dressage horses, than such a breeder can become a Breeder of the Year," said the KWPN society.
Frank van de Valk and Jacqueline van Anholt were recognized for their breeding skills.
"This is awesome," said Van de Valk. "It's very special to experience this. For years you are standing on the other side but now it's really special to experience it as well," said Van Anholt. "This is the icing on the cake for our breeding program. We breed horses for the top and this is the apex."
