The KWPN bred stallion Amazing Star bested the field in the 5-year old semi-finals of the 2010 Pavo Cup Finals held today at the 2010 KWPN Paardendagen in Ermelo, The Netherlands.
Theo Hanzon rode Joop van Uytert's licensed stallion Amazing Star (by Flemmingh out of ster mare Thalia Vrouwe (by Ferro x Donnerhall)) to a first place with 85 points. The stallion is bred by Mr. Hendriksen-de Rijke from Lunteren.
Emmelie Scholtens and Ad Valk's licensed stallion Apache (by UB40 out of Tolanda (by Krack C) scored 83,5 points to finish second. Jana Freund and the liver chestnut Aaron (by Florencio out of Danielle (by Record) slotted in third. The Belgian owned colt scored 83 points.
Petri Bax and the Dutch gelding Avatar (by Negro x Jazz) achieved 82 points to rank fourth. The best performing mare was Annerijke (by Jazz x Gribaldi) who finished eight under Jennifer Sekreve.
The top 25 combinations are selected to compete in the big finals on Friday.
