Belgian junior rider Noemie Goris suffered quite a scare this week when her mount Wunderbar NG was struck by a severe colic attack. Her 9-year old Hanoverian geldin (by Waikiki x Acapulco) is currently being held under observation at equine clinic De Morette.
On Monday the bay gelding was struck by a colic attack and immediately transported to De Morette in Asse, where they diagnosed a complicated colic but fortunately the horse did not need an operation. Wunderbar will stay a few more days in the clinic before returning home.
Goris, who finished 12th in the Kur to Music Finals with 70.350% at the 2010 European Junior Riders Championships in Kronberg two weeks ago, will not be able to compete at the 2010 Belgian Dressage Championships in Hulsterlo 18 - 22 August 2010.
