The German Equestrian Federation and chef d'equipe Holger Schmezer have nominated the German team that will compete in the CDIO Nations' Cup competition at the 2010 CDIO Aachen 14 - 18 July 2010.
This German team will be a test team for the Germans on their path to the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Kentucky, which takes place 27 September till 1 October 2010.
The German CDIO team includes:
- Isabell Werth - Satchmo (by Sao Paulo x Legat)
- Matthias Alexander Rath - Sterntaler Unicef (by Sion x Manstein)
- Christoph Koschel - Donnperignon (by Donnerhall x Matador II)
- Anabel Balkenhol - Dablino (by De Niro x Wanderbusch II)
The Dutch will also be at full force in Aachen with Edward Gal on Totilas, Adelinde Cornelissen on Parzival and Imke Schellekens-Bartels on Sunrise. The Dutch equestrian federation has not yet officially announced their team, though these riders have individually acknowledged their participation.
"Aachen is a wonderful competition where you want to be as a rider," said Imke Schellekens. "I'm very happy that the show really fits into Sunrise's training schedule for the WEG in Kentucky."
