Sherlock Holmes would have had his hands full on this case. Yesterday night the Norwegian FEI dressage pony Gejser was stolen from his stable and delivered back in his stall by the culprit at noon time today. Nobody knows the identity of the thief but the pony has been returned safe and sound.

The Danish bred FEI pony Gejser has been a long time Norwegian team member, first competing under Nanna Berg Christensen, Kine Wold, Louise Reiersen and lately under Amalia Bengtson. The chestnut pony with his unmistakable white lined left eye is owned by Karen and Lars Helmer Christensen.

"Gejser was stolen sometime between 23.00 and 6 AM this morning," owner Karen Christensen told Eurodressage. "Thanks to all our friends, police, facebook and newspapers, Gejser was delivered back by lunch time today (12.00) without anybody seeing it!"

Gejser was returned under strange circumstances. "There was only one witness that saw a man in a black jeep with a trailer. He ran in with Gejser and out so fast that nowbody could do anything," said Karen. "The pony is all right, but we don´t know where he has been."

Bengtson and Gejser will be competing as Norwegian team members in the 2010 Nordic Baltic Championships taking place in two weeks in Drammen, Norway, 1 - 4 July 2010.
