Rachael and Bev Edward's 11-year-old stallion Jaybee Alabaster put in a superb performance in the 2010 CDI Sydnet Grand Prix Kur to Music. With none of the mistakes that were evident in the Grand Prix, they finished clear of the field on 73.850% to the cheers of a record crowd
, 2nd to Rozzie Ryan and Jive Magic 71.70% and 3rd New Zealand's Jody Hartstone and Whisper IV 66.850%.
Maree Tompkins (Vic) and Diamantina 4 won the Zilco FEI Intermediate I Freestyle with 71.400% ahead of Queensland's Jessica Greelish and Riverndell Parador 70.240%, 3rd to Linda Foster (NSW) and Mauritius68.900%. The lovely G.V Bullwinkle, who had won both small tour classes coming into tonight's freestyle seemed a little distracted by the huge atmosphere but was ridden masterfully by Rozzie Ryan to 4th place.
In the Hanovarian Horse Society of Australia's NSW Young Horse Championships Matthew Dowsley's San Jose (Sandro Hit) was awarded Champion 6-year-old Horse, Kathleen Guest's Pacific Eclipse (Heathmont Echo) ridden by Nichola Pfaff won the 5yo and Karingal Jamiriquai (Jive Magic) owned and ridden by Grace Kay won the 4yo.
AUS (Jenny Gehrke and Ashlea Day) won the Gow Gates/ NSW Sport and Recreation International PSG Derby Team event with Jody Hartstone (NZL) winning the individual event on UQ Anapavlova owned by Connie Bookless.
Glennis Barry and Classico II won the Goldin GP Special 61.625, 2nd to Verity Spargo and APH Faust 57.458%.
The IRT Advanced Freestyle was won by Gina Montgomery and NV Wallmeyer (70.083%, 2nd Sara McDonald Adlanta Rose 68.333% and Kaz Roe Donna Bonita were 3rd on 65.667%.
