Apache, Zhivago and Wynton have won the finals leg of 2009-2010 KWPN Stallion Competition in Deurne on 13 January 2010 leading up to the big finals at the 2010 KWPN Stallion Licensing in 's Hertogenbosch begin February.
Emmelie Scholtens and the bay KWPN stallion Apache (by UB40 x Krack C x Inspekteur) scored 85 points and won the L-level division. Owned by Ad Valk, the 2008 KWPN reserve licensing champion beat his rival of the season Andretti (by Special D x Sandro Hit) presented by Theo Hanzon. This duo finished second with 81,5 points and were followed in the ranking by Emmelie Scholtens aboard Fritz Kundrun's bay KWPN stallion Ampere (by Rousseau x Flemmingh) on 77,5 points.
Theo Hanzon and the dark bay Zhivago (by Krack C x Jazz x Ulft) have built up a string of success at M-level in the KWPN Stallion Competition and booked their third victory out of four. The combination scored 87,00 points and left second placed Gerdine Maree on the bay KWPN stallion Ziesto (by Lancet x Clavecimbel) far behind her. This duo scored 82,50 points and tied with Jennifer Sekreve and the chestnut Zambuka (by Scandic x Biotop).
Only three Z-level combinations trailered to Deurne and the class was won by Madeleine Witte-Vrees with the lovely Wynton (by Jazz x Matador x Rubinstein). The combination was the only to break the 80 points marker and won the trophy with a total of 86 points. Emmelie Scholtens and the dark bay Westenwind (by Flemmingh x Contango) slotted in second with 79,00 points. Sabine van Ruitenbeek and the grey Velazquez (by Krack C x Alasca x Ramiro) finished third with 74,50 points.
