Jazz Tops WBFSH Dressage Sire Ranking for 2009

The World Breeding Federation of Sport Horses (WBFSH) has published the ranking of leading dressage sires of 2009. The KWPN licensed elite stallion Jazz (by Cocktail x Ulster) is the undisputed leader on the list with 12,972 points

based on his offspring being ranked highly on the FEI rankings.

Jazz has kept his number one position from 2008. The most important offspring contributing to Jazz' top ranking is Adelinde Cornelissen's European Champion team and individual gold medallist Parzival. The second placed stallion is the Oldenburg Donnerhall (by Donnerwetter x Markus) with 8086 followed by the Westfalian Florestan (by Fidelio x Rheingold) with 7876 points.

The Oldenburg Rohdiamant (by Rubinstein x Inschallah AA) covers fourth place with 7757 points, while the Hanoverian Weltmeyer (by World Cup I x Absatz) places fifth with 7260.

The only stallion in the top ten which is not German or Dutch bred is the Swedish warmblood stallion Master (by Ceylon x Iran x Sombrero). Kyra Kyrklund's Max is Master's best offspring to date. He is 13th on the dressage horse ranking list and is the best Swedish Warmblood horse in all disciplines. Other FEI ranked horses by Master are Tip Top, Vivo, Orlando, Manette DC and Master Mind.
