Tellwell Sold to the Bechtolsheimers

The 9-year old Swedish warmblood gelding Tellwell has been sold to Laura Bechtolsheimer. The bay gelding by Tip Top x Bayard was owned by Birgitta Kjellin and Swedish horse dealer Johan Ifverson.

Tellwell is bred by Susanne Johnsson in Sweden and competed as a young horse under Kjellin in Sweden. He competed in the 5, 6 and 7-year old Breeder's Trophy Finals in Sweden and was shown by Birgitta at the 2005 World Young Horse Championships in Verden, where he finished twelfth in the consolation finals. At the 2006 World Championships the pair finished sixth.

For his FEI level training, Tellwell moved to Germany to Swedish Patrik Kittel's stables in Appelhulsen. The new combination won the 2009 Medien Cup qualifier at Grand Prix level in Wiesbaden, Germany, with a 71.800% score.

Tellwell has been offered for sale since he was a two-year old but his recent super scores during the 2009 show season renewed the interest in this talented horse. He now he sold to Laura Bechtolsheimer. The Bechtolsheimer family recently acquired a Michellino x Idocus foal at Coby van Baalen's stable as well.
