2009 Bundeschampionate

Swarovski and Sweetest Poison were the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the Olympiastadium in Berlin, June 6-7, 2009.

Gestut Sprehe's Oldenburg licensed stallion Swarovski (by Sandro Hit x Don Gregory) won the 5-year old Dressage Horse division. Under Falk Rosenbauer, who is now riding the dressage stallions for the Sprehe stallion station, Swarovski posted a winning score of 8.6. The black stallion scored 8.9 for trot and 9 for canter. Christina Lebens and the Trakehner branded Skyline (by Connery) finished second with 8.0. Michael Thieme and the Hanoverian Count Up (by Conteur) tied in second place.

In the 6-year old Dressage Horse class Maik Kohlschmidt scored 7.8 to take the lead with his Bavarian bred Sweetest Poison (by Florestano). The score was not high enough to qualify for Warendorf, but Kohlschmidt did win the test. Former European young rider champion Christine von Oldershausen placed second on the Holsteiner Dokter Vogel (by Dolany) with 7.7
