The Anglo European Studbook has generously approved 45 stallions at the 2009 AES Stallion Licensing in Schijndel, The Netherlands, March 13, 2009. Two stallions were proclaimed licensing champions out of five colts selected for the champion's rings.
Two confirmed sires received the 'approved' status based on their performances under saddle.
The champion of the AES dressage colts was the liver chestnut Ariane's Razotti. Bred and owned by Stoeterij Ariane from Oosterzele, Belgium, Razotti is by Blue Hors Romanov out of Pappion (by Dream of Glory x Wolkentanz II).
The champion of the AES show jumping colts was Gamko S, a Heartbreaker x Carthago offspring. Bred by S. de Wreede from Hamme, Belgium, this young stallions is owned by De Moerhoeve in Moerbeke Waas, Belgium.
The reserve champion amongst the jumper colts was Falco van 't Gavershof, an Action Breaker x Contender offspring, also in Belgian ownership. F. Goossens and M. Busschops from Overpelt are the proud owners of this colt.
