2009 Danish Warmblood Stallion Licensing

The 3-year old licensed Danish warmblood stallion Klepgab's Don Nido (by Don Romantic x Solos Carex x Diamond) became the price highlight of the auction following the 2009 Danish warmblood stallion licensing in Herning, Denmark, March 7, 2009.

The Dutch stallion station De Ijzeren Man paid one million Danish Kroner (135,000 €).

Klepgab's Don Nido is a dark bay Danish branded stallion bred by Anita Kofoed Thorsen and Flemming K. Skoe. He was owned by Blue Hors stud and sold at auction to Adri Gordijn of De Ijzeren Man in Weert, The Netherlands.

"It's great that a Danish bred stallion is interesting for a Dutch Stallion owner,' said auction representative Frode Jensen.

Baunehøjens Houston (by His Highness x Esteban xx) sold to Peter Gmoser's dressage stable in Austria. Danes Dorte and Jan Rassing acquired two horses: Whoopi (by De Noir x Hertug) and Hudson Fresco (by Hochadel x Lauries Crusador xx). Dressage rider Helene Melsen acquired the gold medal mare Hedevangs Aicha (by Falco x Bashkan).
