Equestrian Australia’s Selectors have announced the National Squads for 2009. The Elite, Development and Youth Development Squads have been updated for 2009.
The Youth Development Squad has now been expanded to include a limited number of riders in the 21 – 25 age range, while a maximum of 4 – 5 positions will be available for riders aged 21 – 25 in each of the National Youth Development Squads.
This expansion is aimed at assisting talented younger riders to make the transition from young rider competition into senior competition by providing coaching and athlete support through services offered in the Youth Development Program.
