Carabas Sold to Andreas Helgstrand

The Holsteiner licensed stallion Carabas has been sold to Andreas Helgstrand. Rumours about a sale of Carabas have been surfacing since October 2008 but in November 2008 Tannenhof still denied the sale of their top stallion to Eurodressage

. However it has been now officially confirmed by Helgstrand Dressage that Carabas has moved to Denmark.

Carabas is a 10-year old Holsteiner stallion by Carnaby x Roberto and under Oliver Luze, the dark bay won the 2008 Medien Cup Finals for upcoming Grand Prix horses in Donaueschingen, Germany. Carabas competed at Grand Prix level twelve times in 2008 and always placed first or second always with scores of 70%.

Helgstrand and his sponsors Lotte and Ole Vagner purchased Carabas as Andreas' ride for the 2009 European Championships, 2010 World Equestrian Games and 2012 Olympic Games. Helgstrand's sponsors recently acquired the Bundeschampion stallion Laetare for 520,000 euro at the 2008 PSI Auction.
