2008 Young Rider World Cup Final

Laura Noyes will be one of two North American representatives at the 2008 FEI World Cup Finals for Young Riders held at the CDI Franfurt in Germany mid December. Noyes won the U.S. Young Riders World Cup League by having the highest YR freestyle score average.

The North American riders are selected by the FEI according to their two best Freestyle scores from CDIs that year. In the North American League there are two representatives allowed, one from the U.S.A. and one from Canada. There were no riders from Mexico. Only seven U.S. Young Riders tried to qualify for the Young Riders World Cup as it is a challenge to find enough CDI's in the States.

Noyes rode in six CDI's in her last year as a Young Rider. She has remained focused on her goal to go to Frankfurt, while balancing a college education. The average of her two best CDI scores was a 72.584%. Laura won the Gold Medal for the Freestyle at the 2008 North American Young Riders Championships with a score of 74.75%. Her partner in crime is the Trakehner bred gelding Syncro (by Enrico Caruso out of Sonset (Habicht x Magnet x Marsuk ox)).

The second highest placed American rider in the YR World Cup League was Kassandra Barteau. She averaged 70.95% with her Hanoverian mare Gabriella (by Grosso Z). Laura Noyes, who is trained by George Williams, also represented the U.S.A. at last year's Young Riders World Cup Finals in Frankfurt.
