2008 Italian Freestyle Dressage Championships

Anna Paprocka Campanella has won the 2008 Italian Freestyle Dressage Championships held in La Mandria, Italy, October 24-26, 2008. Aboard the Dutch warmblood bred Prego (by Zazou x Ulft), she scored 73,30% and obtained the gold medal and national title.

Valentina Truppa and the Danish warmblood Chablis (by Castro x Leonardo II) finished in silver medal position with 72,10% while police offer Ester Soldi got bronze on her 12-year old Danish bred Lobtonice (by Lobster) with 64,60%.

"I would like to thank my trainer Hubertus Schmidt for the great help he gave me with this horse. Prego is already qualified for the European Championship in London," Campanella told Eurodressage. "I rode a new kur for the first time, made in Holland, which really underlines the quality of Prego. We are on the right way for the next season! "

In the Young Riders division Federica Scolari and the 10-year old Beldonwelt (by De Niro) pulled a winning move. She got gold for her 71,90% earning freestyle. Micol Ristignoli and the Dutch bred Konkorde (by Concorde x Nimmerdor) got silver on 69,95%, while Riccardo Sanavio and his Belgian warmblood stallion Uson van Essene (by Gotthardsen x Goldspring de Lauzelle) finished third with 65,75%.
