A prominent guest attended the dressage festival at Evelyn Haim-Swarovski's Schindlhof. The president of the most successful sports federation in Austria visited the show. Prof. Peter Schröcksnadel, who is the president of the Austrian Skiing Federation, was impressed. "When such a nice event is organised in front of your doorstep, I had to come over and have a look," he said. Schröcksnadel helped during the Intermediaire I award ceremony and then returned home to dedicate himself to his passion, fly fishing.
German Anja Plönzke, who is an annual participant at the CDI Fritzens, won the Prix St Georges and Intermediaire I with Le Mont d'Or, a 9-year old Oldenburg gelding by Landjuwel Gold x Wie Weltmeyer.

On Saturday night the gates of heaven opened and torrential rain poured down on the show at the Schindlhof in Tirol, Austria. Ernst Bachinger, judge and riding director at the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, joked: "At least the arena doesn't need watering today. I guarantee you it won't be dusty!"

Hubertus Schmidt and Nancy Gooding's Oldenburg licensed stallion Weltissimo (by Welt Hit II x Barsoi xx) won the Grand Prix with 70.833 %. Austrian leading dressage rider Victoria Max-Theurer has the choice over two Grand Prix horses for the 2008 Olympic Games: Falcao and Salieri. She competed Salieri last week at the CDIO Aachen and saved Falcao for the CDI Fritzens. Aboard the Oldenburg bred Falcao (by Feiner Stern), Max-Theurer finished third in the Grand Prix scoring 69,375%. "The show in Fritzens is one of my favourite shows," Vici said. "The atmosphere is unique and I always have tons of fun riding here."
