German pony rider Katharina Weychert will be the new rider of the 2007 European Pony Champion Dornik B. The Weychert family took over the lease of the chestnut German Reitpony stallion from the Luttgen family.
Dornik B arrived at his new stable In Bad Windsheim in Bavaria, Germany, on Wednesday August 22, 2007.
Katharina Weychert is member of the German Pony A-team and finished 5th at the 2007 German Dressage Pony Championships on her huge palomino pony Golden Derano C.
Dornik B (Derano Gold x Derbino) is a 16-year old licensed pony stallion owned by Gestut Bonninger and is one of the most successful dressage ponies in the world. He is a four time Bundeschampion, and the quadruple European Pony Champion. Under Marion Engelen, he won gold at the 2000 and 2001 European Pony Championships, in 2004 under Anna von Negri and in 2007 under Louisa Luttgen.
