2007 European Junior and Young Riders Championships

Seven horses were referred to the holding box and one was rejected at the official vet check for the 2007 European Junior and Young Riders Championships in Nussloch, Germany, which started today.

Six junior riders horses will be up for reinspection tomorrow morning, amongst them Holland's most experienced junior riders horse, Beaujolais (by Bright Speed). Under Chantal van Lanen, this horse won two team gold medals at previous European Championships.

Tomorrow the competition starts with the team championship test. This year, the (silly) formula of triple medals will be instated for both the junior and young riders division. There will be medals for the team competition, the individual test and the kur to music. Three sets of medals will be distributed but an allround champion will no longer be proclaimed nor awarded with the European Junior or Young Riders Champion's title.
