Guenter Seidel's small tour horse Princeton has been humanely put down. The grey Westfalian gelding suffered from laminitis mid March and was transported to the equine clinic of Alamo Pintado in California.

Though the horse was treated for this condition he showed little to no improvement. The gelding foundered this week and could not be saved by the veterinarians.

Princeton was a 9-year old Westfalian gelding by Popcorn x Weinberg. He was owned by Seidel's long time sponsors Dick and Jane Brown. Guenter Seidel did really well with him at the 2006 American Dressage Championships - Festival of Champions - at small tour level. The pair scored 67.150 in the Prix St Georges (7th place), 70.900 in the Intermediaire I (2nd) and 70.300% in the Inter 1 Kur to Music (7th).
