Holsteiner Breeding News

The sport career of Tannenhof's Conteur is over. The Holsteiner licensed stallion injured himself severely in his stable, so that the owner was forced to retire the stallion to stud. The 8-year old Conteur won the 2006 Nurnberg Burgpokal Qualifier in Mannheim under Anja Plönzke.

Due to the injury, owner Klaus Plonzke decided to lease the Holsteiner bred Conteur (by Contender x Rasputin) to the Landgestüt in Celle, where he already stood at stud as a young stallion. Conteur currently has five licensed sons, amongst which this year's Reserve Licensing Champion Curator (Contender x Weltmeyer), now owned and standing at Brookhouse Stud.

In return for Conteur, Gestüt Tannenhof gets the Celle owned stallion El Bundy as new resident stallion. The 8-year old Hanoverian El Bundy (by Escudo x Rebel Z) is successful at S-level in show jumping. Finally, Plonzke also decided to move his Hanoverian premium stallion Don Dior (by Don Frederico x Cheenook) to Celle, as he was not popular in the Hessian breeding area.
