Hanoverian Auctions in Verden

The Verden auction year finished with a unique record: the Adlantus As x Amerigo Vespucci xx-daughter Alyosha (bred by Hans-Martin Tietjen and presented by Wilfried Böttjer) was the 1000th Hanoverian horse auctioned in the Niedersachsenhalle in Verden in 2006.

The show jumping rider and trainer Oliver Ross from Varste bought the four-year-old prospect and can look forward with pleasure to a trip to the Stockholm International Tournament. Manfred Schäfer, the president of the Hanoverian Society, handed over a corresponding gift coupon.

110 Hanoverian horses were offered for sale in total and they were sold at an average price of Euro 13,882. 47 horses were purchased by German customers, 63 horses will be exported which makes an export rate of nearly 60%. American customers bought 25 horses. The established connection with the Royal Moroccan Army resulted in eight purchases of show jumping prospects for their show stable.

The price highlight was paid for the Florestan x Landadel-daughter Ferrara (breeder and exhibitor: Axel Windeler). The three-year-old mare was sold to the United States for 50,000 euro. Amigo by As di Villagana x Calido (breeder: Josef Kuper and exhibitor: Johann and Johannes Krull GbR) was the top-priced show jumping horse of the day, sold at 38,000 euro to Morocco.

Three brood mares were sold at this auction. A customer from Baden-Württemberg paid the highest price of 8,500 euro for state premium mare Angel's Dream by Alabaster x Andiamo (breeder: Ludwig Schmidt, exhibitor: Detlef Ruddat).
