Brookhouse Stud is boasting an impressive line up of new stallions for the 2006 breeding season. British Olympic team rider Emma Hindle and Thomas Hoffmann have contracted six new stallions to jazz up their breeding program.

The new comers are Con Amore, Con Cosmos, Com Air, Don Ricoss, Donee and Riccione. They are joining Brookhouse Stud’s renowned breeding stallions Wie Weltmeyer, Lancet, Diamond Hit, Furstenreich, Chequille Z and Latouro.

Brookhouse Stud’s newest acquisition is the 3-year old Hanoverian licensed stallion Con Amore (Conteur x Pik Bube I x Wendekreis), the highly acclaimed “I d-Premium” stallion of the 2005 Hanoverian Licensing in Verden. Con Amore is a rare combination of brilliant type, correct uphill conformation, and three top class basic gaits.

Donee, a liver chestnut Oldenburg by Donnerhall x Absinth x Varus, is the undisputed champion of the Stallion Performance Test in Neustadt/Dosse. After claiming many victories in riding horse tests, he is showing great potential for advanced dressage.

The Hanoverian Don Ricoss (Don Frederico x Weltmeyer x Eiger I) is a multiple winner in the riding horse tests, claiming victory in the qualifier and the champion final for riding horses at the prestigious Elmlohe show. He won the qualifier and became reserve champion at the 2005 German Hanoverian Horse Championships in Verden, earning a place for the 2005 Bundeschampionate in Warendorf. At the 30-Day Test in Neustadt/Dosse 2005 he led the field of 30 participants scoring 8.83 in dressage.

The Hanoverian stallion Riccione (Regazzoni x Arogno x Bolero) is Brookhouse Stud’s latest addition. At the 1998 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing the bay stallion made a big impression with his highly noble appearance and extravagant movements. He won riding horse tests and champions’ finals with scores of 9.0 and higher. In his Stallion Performance Test he scored the highest for rideability (both guest judges scored: 10.0) and became the Reserve Champion of the test. Riccione is trained towards Grand Prix level.

The young Holsteiners Com Air (Contender x Landadel x Ramiro) and Con Cosmos (Colman x Cascavelle x Calypso I) as well as foundation sire Latouro (Landgraf x Ronald x Sable Skinfl. xx) ensure that also show jumper breeders can find top quality at Brookhouse Stud. They complete the Stud’s versatile collection of internationally renowned breeding and sport horse stallions. With Olympic team horse Wie Weltmeyer, Olympic dressage stallion Lancet, VTV Dressage Stallion of the Year 2005 Diamond Hit, and rising FEI stars Chequille Z and Furstenreich, Brookhouse Stud offers the biggest collection of internationally successful dressage sires world wide.

Based at the Rollehof in Erbach, Germany, Brookhouse Stud recently started a co-operation with Eckhard Wahler in North Germany to guarantee an optimized delivery service of fresh semen nationwide. The stallions Chequille Z and Don Ricoss will be based with Eckhard Wahlers near Bremen for the 2006 breeding season.

Brookhouse Stud is holding its annual stallion show February 11, 2006 at Rollehof in Ehrbach, Germany. The show starts at 17.30h. For more information on the stallions and Brookhouse Stud’s schedule of events, visit their new and improved website.
