The 13-year old Hanoverian licensed stallion Del Piero has been sold to Denmark as a sport horse. The Danish junior rider Shanta Rye-Munkbak will be competing him at FEI Junior Riders level.

Under his owner Susan Draper/Pape, Del Piero became the 1998 Bundeschampion in the 5-year old division and the Reserve Champion in the 6-year old division at the 1999 World Young Dressage Horse Championships in Arnheim.

"Del Piero has brought us much happiness. He has the right age and is at the right training level, so that his new owner can learn much from him. He's in excellent health and we hope he'll provide his rider many years of joy," Susan Pape told Eurodressage.

Del Piero is by Donnerhall out of State Premium Mare Mascha (Matcho AA x Garibaldi II) and has been standing at stud his entire life at Ingo Pape's in Hemmoor, Germany. Susan Pape trained and competed the black stallion at Grand Prix level. Del Piero's most famous licensed son is Blue Hors Del Quinto, who is no longer standing at stud.
