The name game has started. Soon after every stallion licensing, the new owners of the young licensed colts have decide upon a name for their breeding stallion. Paul Schockemohle and Blue Hors decided on Hotline for their Hofrat x De Niro Hanoverian Licensing Champion which officially cost them 800,000 euro. Schockemohle and Blue Hors' Hanoverian Reserve Licensing Champion, the Prince Thatch xx x Wenzel, is named Prime Time. Update on former Dutch Grand Prix team member Antoinette Falandt. Her Dutch warmblood bred Grand Prix horse Jarwo (by Ferro) is, unfortunatel,y still not completely sound, but veterinarians have finally found the problem in his leg. He's currently recuperating and he "spends his days in the field being a horse," Falandt's publicist said. On a happier note, Falandt does have a new rising star, the 6-year old Dutch warmblood Seigneur (Juventus x Zortin), who she describes as "bold from the outside but sensitive at the inside."

And Dutch dressage primadonna Anky van Grunsven has a new equine partner in her stable: Rambo M. The bay Dutch warmblood gelding is by Wolfgang out of Jallenger (by Wellington) and is trained at Fourth level.

According to De Hoefslag, Theo Hanzon's Grand Prix stallion Idar (by Darwin) will be competed by the 15-year old Vivienne Bos in the future. Bos will be riding the black stallion at Fourth level and in the FEI Junior Riders classes. Hanzon was twice reserve team member for the Dutch Junior/Young Riders team. In the near future, Hanzon will showing the 7-year old Romorantin (by Krack C), who is owned by the Bos family.

The German Press Agency (DPA) reported that the international show jumping competition in Leipzig has shown interest in organizing a world cup dressage qualifier in January 20 - 22, 2007. "We want to become the third location in Germany for a world cup qualifier and I don't think it's impossible that we can get it," said Volker Wulff, manager of the marketing agency En Garde, which organizes the CSI Leipzig . The German Equestrian Federation asked Munich to be a world cup qualifier, but they declined and Leipzig stepped to the plate. Leipzig is currently looking for sponsors to find an additional 200,000 euro. For 2006, Neumunster and Frankfurt are the two German locations for the World Cup Qualifier.

The German based Brookhouse Stud in Ehrbach has three new stallions for the 2006 breeding season. At the Hanoverian Stallion Licensing, British Grand Prix rider Emma Hindle and her partner Thomas Hoffmann purchased the fourth placed Con Amore(Conteur x Pik Bube x Wendekreis). They will also be standing the 4-year old Donee (Donnerhall x Absinth) and the famous Hanoverian Riccione(Regazzoni x Arogno) who already has 15 licensed offspring. More info atwww.brookhousestud.com
