Record Prices at 2005 Munster Handorf Autum Elite Auction

Westfalian Auctions in Münster-Handorf

Absolute record prices were achieved at the 2005 Autum Elite Auction for Westfalian sport horses, ponies and foals in Munster-Handorf, Germany. A Munster all-time record price of 370,000 euro was paid for Louisdor.

This 3-year old bay gelding, bred and presented by Nicole Luttmann, is by Laurenzius out of an Ehrentusch dam and moves to Sarah and Tony Pidgley's Kilbees Farm in Great Britain.

The second most expensive horse at this auction was Feliciano, a liver chestnut gelding by Florestan x Ehrentusch. A dressage enthusiast from Munich paid 84,000 euro for this young prospect. Feodora, a 6-year old chestnut mare by Florestan x Gluckslee, sold for 56,000 euro. Feodora competed at the 2005 World Young Dressage Horse Championships under Luxembourg Sascha Schulz.

Another record price was set at this Munster Auction. The 3-year old palomino pony mare HB Golden Girl sold for a record knock down price of 70,000 euro. This mare, who is bred by Heiner Bertels out of a FS Don't Worry x Dancer bloodline and who became the 2005 Bundeschampion in Warendorf, sold to Adri Gordijn in The Netherlands. Gordijn bought the pony for his grandchildren (Sven Rothenberger's children).

The most expensive foal was Forcast, a chestnut colt by jumper sire For Pleasure out of a Cantus dam. This foal sold for 14,000 euro.

Forty riding horses were sold at this autumn auction and they achieved an average price of 30,513 euro.
