French Horses Selected for Verden

2005 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses

The French Equestrian Federation has selected to horses to compete for France at the 2005 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden, July 1-3, 2004.

Last years' French participant, Bertrand Lebarbier, is back on the team with his Hanoverian gelding Welfenrat, a chestnut Wolkentanz x Grafenfels offspring. Lebarbier and Welfenrat will be competing in the 6-year old division.

Fabien Godelle shall also ride a Hanoverian bred horse. He's saddling Liaison, a Londonderry x Gralswachter offspring, which the Cadre Noir purchased at the 2004 Autumn Elite Auction in Verden for 65,000 euro. Godelle and Liaison are entered in the 5-year old division.

Further French entries are Claire Moucadel with Mistral du Coussoul and Bertrand Lebarbier on Montighy de Vernay.
