The Sociedade Hípica Portuguesa (SHP) is proud to announce the first three star CDI competition in Lisbon, Portugal. Taking place from May 5 to May 8, 2005, the CDI*** Lisbon features Junior and Young Riders classes as well as all FEI level tests
from young horses to Prix St Georges/Intermediaire and up to Grand Prix.
One of the show highlights is the II Iberian Cup Dressage. In the wake of the 2004 Iberian Cup success, the Santo Andre Lusitanos Dressage in association with the SHP will organize the 2005 edition of the event at the historical grounds of the Sociedade Hípica Portuguesa in Lisbon, Portugal.
The II Iberian Cup is an FEI sanctioned event open to all breeds, but it represents the foremost arena for the Lusitano horse that competes at all levels of international dressage. From Orphée ridden by Catherine Durand at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, to the medal winning performance by the Spanish squad at the 2002 WEG in Jerez de La Frontera and the 2004 Athens Olympic Games—the excellence of the Iberian horse is the formula for dressage success.
The ground jury for the 2005 CDI Lisbon consists of 4 O-judges: Mariette Withages (president), Gotthilf Riexinger (GER), Cara Whitham (CAN), and Ghislain Fouarge (HOL). They are assisted by Rosa Maria Fradera (ESP), Elena Petoushkova (RUS) and Angelika Fromming (GER).
