Rossellini, Top Seller at the 2004 Vechta Special Auction

Rosselini was the most expensive horse at the 37th Vechta Special. This gray gelding by Royal Diamond – Oldtimer xx, bred by Heinrich Westermann in Visbek, was sold to Celine Anciaux and Michel Toussaint for 25,500 Euro.

This couple from Belgium also own Rubins Figaro (by Rubinstein – Figaro, bred by Dirk Gloystein in Großenmeer), who became the 2002 Vice Champion of four year old dressage horses and the 2004 Champion of six year old dressage horses in Belgium.

23 horses were sold at the Oldenburg Horse Center in Vechta for a total of 275,000 Euro. The average price was 11,956 Euro. Four horses were sold abroad

While Rosellini will be going abroad, the second most expensive horse, Dezemberfreude, who sold for 22,000 Euro, will remain in Germany. This Don Larino – Rouletto daughter bred by Hermann Dirks in Maisidden was sold to Lina-Sofie Böckmann. This young rider, who is on the Weser-Ems young rider team and a member of the riding club in Langförden, took the State Championships title in Rastede for the third time in a row. She now has a very talented youngster in her stables with this bay mare.

Christmas-Magic (by Canonicus – Akzent II, bred by Heino Lüschen in Wardenburg) was purchased by Hermann Lenders in Westerstede for 18,000 Euro. This brown gelding will become the new neighbour of an approved Sandro Hit – Feinbrand son purchased by Hermann Lenders at the Oldenburg Hengst-Tage in November 2004.

Duplo (by Don Larino – Rubinstar, bred by Silke Hilbrands in Bunderhee) was sold for 10,000 Euro to the Canadian Olympic rider Ashley Holzer. Mr. van Zütphen from the Netherlands paid 21,000 Euro for a State Premium mare called Dolorosa (by Donnerhall – Rubinstein, bred by Günther Brackland in Goldenstedt). A hard bidder duel ensued for the only 14.3 ½ hand Real Big Boy (by Royal Diamond – Dream of Glory, bred by Wilfried Koppermann, Süstedt) and was won by buyers from Bavaria at a knock-down of 18,500 Euro. Rosa Christina (by Rohdiamant – Parcours, bred by Helmut Thie in Drantum), was sold to Baden-Württemberg for 18,000 Euro. Melancholie (by Michelangelo/Trakehner – Colani, bred by Bernd and Silvia Johannsen in Varrel) will be off to Jan Williams' Coyote Run in the US.
