German Olympic Team Gold Medallist and Individual Silver Medallist Ulla Salzgeber will travel to Australia late January 2005 to conduct squad rider clinics in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

This follows negotiations via National Dressage Chair Debbie MacNicol and a formal offer from the Equestrian Federation of Australia.

After the first series of clinics, the National Dressage Chair and the EFA womm assess whether the program should be expanded to two or three visits a year and other coaching assistance overseas.

Apart from coaching our Elite and up-and-coming Dressage riders and assisting their personal coaches, Ulla will also give an assessment of the current dressage status in Australia and its potential to improve to a level that provides a chance to place in the top eight countries in international Team competition.

The January clinics are planned for the following days:
21 - 23 January - Melbourne
25 - 27 January - Sydney (SIEC)
29 - 31 January - Brisbane
