Trakehner Breeding Sire Traumdeuter passed away last weekend at his barn Stud Nøddebo in Ikast, Denmark. The 17 hh standing Trakehner sire had been ill for a long time now

and there was no more chance for improvement. His owner Vagn Nielsen decided to put him down. Traumdeuter was 23-years old.

Bred by Leonhard Thiel from Niedermarksberg, Traumdeuter was born in Germany in 1981. He is by Arogno out of Traumwolke (Patron x Stern xx) and descends from the 026A Traumbild pedigree line. Traumdeuter did his Stallion Performance Test in 1984 in Adelheidsdorf. Between 1994 and 1991, Traumdeuter bred at Ludwig Kathmann's in Holtrup, Germany.

In Germany, he carried on his legacy through licensed offspring Trend (x Akzent II), Thronfolger, Traumprinz and Tantris.

In 1991 the stallion moved to Denmark where he sired a licensed son named Detroit (x Märchenprinz) who was bred by Vagn Nielsen and is now owned by Jan Bastrup Pedersen.

Traumdeuter also fathered mulitple premium mares and foals and the international Grand Prix horse Broere Dexter, who is currently being competed by Danish Anne van Olst.
