While the Hanoverian Verband stays optimistic by saying that "our expectations were fulfilled," the actual results of the 110th Elite Auction for Hanoverian sport horses and foals were very disappointing. The price highlight of the auction cost only 80,000 euro, which is an unprecedented low score for an elite auction. Donnerhall Junior (by Donnerhall x Weltmeyer) was that price highlight. The horse has been sold to a rider in Hamburg.
Second most expensive dressage horse was Wüstensand, a Weltmeyer x Matcho AA offspring, who got sold to England for 77,000 euro. Third best price was achieved by Hohenstaufen, a dapply grey Hohenstein x Langata Espress xx get who sold for 60,000 euro. A German buyer paid 54,000 euro for the black Rocalla, by Rotspon x Matula x Werther,
The most expensive show jumper was the 5-year old Chianti DC (by Contender x Argentan) who will go to Paul Schockemohle's stable for 46,000 euro.
Sixty-four horses in total were sold at the auction for an average price of 22,375 euro; twenty-four of them were sold abroad. Buyers from Great Britain purchased seven horses in total.
The Spring elite auction also offered 24 foals for sale. They achieved an average price of 5.683 euro. Most expensive foal was the bay colt Deingold (De Niro x Rubinstein) who sold to Bavaria for 14,000 euro.
