The Oldenburg breeding stallion Feinbrand has left Highpoint Hanoverian stud farm in the U.S.A. for a new breeding station in Denmark. The dark bay sire will be up for stud at Niels Grøndal's Hingstedepotet in Storving, Denmark.

Angela Barilar of Highpoint Hanoverians leased Feinbrand from owner Josef Wernke. "We loved having Feinbrand here for the three years of our lease," Barilar said, "he produced many wonderful horses and was lots of fun to ride." When Feinbrand's lease was up, Barilar decided not to purchase him. "He is a very valuable horse but we were not in a position to buy him," Barilar explained. Angela has recently imported the gorgeous black Oldenburg Rosenthal (by Rubinstein x Karon x Woermann).

Feinbrand is by Feiner Stern out of Lagune B (Admiral x Lavendel) andwill be up for stud at the Støvring Hingstestation AVS, also known as the Hingstedepotet, in Denmark in 2004. Feinbrand arrived in Denmark in December 2003. Grøndal decided to add Feinbrand to his collection of stallions, which include Aarking xx, Saint Cloud, and Cubrick xx, because of his interesting bloodline and the rarity of the F-line in Denmark. Former young rider Jan Bastrup Pedersen will be riding Feinbrand at the stallion shows upcoming spring.
