Westfalian Auctions in Münster-Handorf

The first auction of the 2004 NRW Auction year was definitely not a highlight for the Westfalian Verband. With a collection of 49 riding horses and ponies, of which 46 were sold at an average price of 11,283 €, the 2004 NRW Winter Auction produced mediocre results.

Top knock down price was "only" 25,000 € for Finette, a 3-year old black mare by Freindenstraum x Upan La Jarthe AA. Finette is bred by Ewald Dirkes from Ibbenburen, Germany.

Second most expensive horse was Florio Marnier, a 4-year old Florestan x Julio Marnier xx gelding. The dark bay gelding achieved a price of 22,500 €. The bay mare Rocky Mountain (Rockwell x Pilot) sold for 21,000 €. All three top priced horses will stay in the Nordrhein Westfalen area.

Two ponies were sold. Napoleon (Night Power x Henbury Ragtime) was good for 3,500 €, Nuts (Noble Boy x Chameur) sold for 4,500 € to The Netherlands.

Seven horses were sold abroad. One went to Austria, Switzerland and The Netherlands, two horses went to Canada and Great Britain.
