The decision has been made, the audience' favorite is also the judges' favorite. In Flagranti, a chestnut stallion by Buddenbrock out of Insterfee VII (by Kennedy) has become the 2003 Trakehner Stallion Licensing Champion in Neumunster, Germany.
Bred by Hans Joachim Scharfetter, In Flagranti was outstanding every single day of the licensing. Not only is he a spectacular mover, but he was also a very good jumper. In Flagranti is Sharfetter's second consecutive (!) licensing champion.
Sixteen stallions in total were licensed and seven of them received the premium label. Breeding chef Lars Gehrmann commented that, "the athletic aspect in the stallions was decisive factor in our overall judging." In Flagranti will be auctioned tomorrow in Neumunster by auctioneer Uwe Heckmann.
Reserve Champion was Couratius, by Sixtus out of Couracia (by Caprimond), bred and presented by Gestut Bönninghardt.
