The 108th Elite Auction of Hanoverian Sport Horses, Ponies and Foals produced only one remarkable price highlight and the rest of the collection was auctioned for "normal" Verden prices. The tumultuous political situation in the world was most likely the cause for many American pocket books to stay away. Only 5 horses were sold to the U.S. and that's a historical low as usually 35% of the horses are sold to North America. The average auction price was 23.328 € and 73 horses were sold.
Price highlight was Bon Jovi, a chestnut gelding by Brentano II x Weltmeyer. Bred and presented at the auction by Horst Kiehne from Gehrde, Bon Jovi was sold to Dressage Stable Luttgen in Kerpen for 190,000 €. Most expensive show jumper was Crazy Girl, a Chasseur x Espri mare who was sold to Gestut Sprehe for 51,000 €.
Second most expensive horse was the dressage prospect DJ Diamond, a dark bay De Niro x Singular Joter gelding, with three expressive basic gaits. The elegant 4-year old was sold for 65,000 € and will stay in Germany. Most expensive pony was Bella Riva, a De Vito x Mandingo offspring who moved to Finland for 5,500 €.
46 foals were presented in the foal collection, of which the foals reached an average price of 4,356 € per foal. Highlight was the cute Waterloo (Wolkentanz x Don Bosco) who was sold to a Bavarian buyer for 16,500 €.
