A wonderful and promising new show circuit has been created by KNHS- president Martien van den Heuvel and its sponsor, the Dutch importer of Pikeur riding clothers, Frans Brokx.

This new show circuit has been named the "Pikeur Trophy". The Pikeur Trophy is a show circuit for Prix St Georges dressage riders under the age of 30. It includes seven qualifiers and a finals held at the CDI Rotterdam, August 30, 2003.

What makes this Pikeur Trophy so special is that it's open to Dutch as well as Belgian competitors. In Holland, there are approximately 50 KNHS riders under 30 competiting at Prix St Georges level. This is not the case in Belgium. That is why the Pikeur trophy is especially a stimulus for the struggling Belgian dressage riders who experience many difficulties with the transition from Fourth level to Prix St Georges.

Five qualifiers are held in The Netherlands (June 8: Zelhem / June 27: Deurne / July 12 or 13: Breda / July 20: Kootwijk / August 10: Roosendaal) and two in Belgium (June 8: Schilde / August 3: Duffel). The semi- finals are August 28 and the Finals are August 30, both held at the CHIO Rotterdam. The top three of each qualifier is selected for the semi-finals, which will constituted by the Intermediaire I test. The top five is selected for the Finals, which will have the Kur to Music as test.

Brokx Sport, Inc. is the Dutch distributer of Pikeur riding clothes and has been officially dressing the Dutch Equestrian Equipes for many years now.
