In dressage there was a winner from Aachen: With 1863 Punkten Nadine Capellmann on her meanwhile 17 year-old Gracioso won the Grand Prix "Stawag-Prize", which belongs to the CDI-Tour.
The rider, third at the European Championships, built up a noticeable distance to the Olympic Team Champion from 1996, Martin Schaudt (Albstadt) on Loesdau's Loriot, with an edge of 54 points (1863 versus 1807).
Fourfold Olympic Champion Isabell Werth (Mellendorf) took place 3 on the 16 year-old Antony. Unintentionally Alexandra Simons de Ridder provided entertainment with her horse Calambo. The ten year-old stallion entered the stadium bucking and was still incited by the laughter of the audience, before he returned to his habitual work in the dressage ring. So in the end the Olympic Team Champion only took place 14 with 1613 points.
