Vechta Auction News

At the 55th elite auction for Oldenburg sport horses and foals in Vechta, Germany, Royal Discovery produced the royal top price of 225.000 DM. The dapple grey mare by Royal Diamond x Don Gregory lured the interest of a German buyer

and it took a serious bidding duel for the mare to stay in Germany.

Two horses were sold for the magical price of 200.000 DM. The Bundeschampionate reserve champion in the three year old division and the 2001 Oldenburg champion, Del Martino, got baptised Daily Hero in order to be sold at the auction. For 200.000 DM, the chestnut gelding continues his dressage career in Hamburg, Germany. The gorgeous stallion Lord Oldenburg (by Lagoheidor G x Raphael) was sold for that same price. Lord Oldenburg was the reserve champion of the stallion performance test in Neustadt-Dosse and now got sold to a Swiss buyer.

A very interesting purchase was done by an Austrian dressage fan who saw potential in the bay mare Royal Olympia. Full sister to the approved stallion Royal Olymp, Olympia is a Rohdiamant x Florestan offspring and got sold for 170.000 DM. The allrounder Liberty Fighter was auctioned for 160.000 DM. Liberty Fighter is a licensed stallion by Liberty Life x Julio Mariner xx and has Life Junior as registry name.

Most expensive foal was Saphir (Sandro Hit x Rohdiamant) who stays in Germany for 66.000 DM. 24 Oldenburg horses in total were sold abroad.
