Most quality was to be seen in the 3-year-old division. In the stallion group the black coated Davidoff E danced to overall score of 64.50 and to an absolute victory.
Under guest rider Susanne Miesner, the Oldenburg Don Gregory x Rubinstein I descendant, showed much engagement in his movements and gave his rider an incredibly pleasant feeling. Miesner rewarded Davidoff E's rideability by giving him a 10. High scores were given to the Oldenburg's trot and walk.
The black, presented by Heinz-Jorg Wächter and owned by Ann Kathrin Ehlen, received a 9.5 for his nicely balanced walk and a 9.5 for his dynamic and impulsive trot. The canter, however, was good for 8.5 as the judges would love to have seen more uphill scope in this gait.
