The countdown is on for the 13th edition of the "Internationaux de Dressage" - CDIO 5* Compiègne - on 2 - 5 May 2024.

This highly celebrated international competition in the gorgeous Grand Parc equestrian stadium gathers the elite of the dressage world as it not only serves as one of just three FEI Nations' Cup legs, but also as observation event for Paris Olympic team selection.

Spring Dressage Festival

The Grand Parc equestrian stadium will welcome athletes for a full three-day programme with classes for youth riders - from pony level to Under 25 - as well as a CDI 1* small tour and 3* big tour alongside the 5* FEI Nations Cup.  The weekend will conclude on Sunday afternoon with a spectacular show.

The venue offers all for the demanding dressage riders: spacious arenas, warm-ups and training rings, good stabling and plenty of catering and shops for lifestyle and entertainment.

The fully modernised main stadium gives grandeur to the competition and has turned the CDIO Compiègne into one of the most beloved spring dressage festivals on the annual FEI calendar.

Olympic Fever

The 2024 competition year is all about the Paris Olympics. Many nations have flagged Compiègne as a team observation and selection trial, which means that countries will be sending their top riders to this show.

Grand Prix riders will have the unique opportunity to ride in front of the judges that will officiate at the Olympics at the palace of Versailles. Five-star judges Raphael Saleh, Henning Lehrmann, Isobel Wessels, Mariette Sanders, Magnus Ringmark, Michael Osinski, and Susanne Baarup (DEN) are all signed up to judge in Compiègne.

International elite in Compiègne
"We’re really eager to see the entire dressage ‘’family’’ once again," show director Monique Marini explained. "We know that this year is very special with the big rendezvous in Versailles. Compiègne is a one-of-a-kind meeting for all. Riders know that they are always well received and that the conditions are optimal, with the infrastructures and surfaces perfectly meeting the demands of top level sport."

Marini added that her show is also a favourite in the community with visitors from across Europe as wel as locals coming for "a day in the park".

"The public always shows its loyalty," said Marini. "We worked hard to improve the hospitality and provide  substantial catering in a superb setting. Last year, the stands were full and the atmosphere exceptional. There’s no doubt that it will be the same this year."
