Stallions Majestic Day, Bon Esprit, Forever Romance became the high scores of the shortened suitability test and sport test held for licensed stallions in Verden on 6 - 8 May 2024.
Shortened Suitability Test: Majestic Day
Six 3-year old colts participated in the shortened suitability test.
Anna Genfors' Hanoverian bred Majestic Day (by Majestic Taonga x Desperados) bested the field with a total score of 8.3 points. He got 7.6 for walk, 8.5 for trot, 8.4 for canter and 8.5 for rideability and willingness to perform. The second highest total score was 8.0 achieved by Christian Thelker's Hanoverian bred Sambuca (by So Perfect x Dancier).
Sport Test: Bon Esprit and Forever Romance
Ten 4-year olds competed in the sport test and the high scorer was Bon Esprit, the champion of the 2023 Oldenburg Stallion Licensing by Bon Courage x Sezuan, which Gut Schönweide bought for 1,250,000 euro at auction. After dropping out of the sport test in Verden in March due to tension, the liver chestnut now became the best scoring colt with a total of 8,30 points. He earned 8.5 for walk, 7.8 for trot, 8.5 for canter, 8.3 for rideability and 8.5 for general impression. The second best scoring stallion was Fiji (by For Romance) with 8,21 points.
Three 5-year olds participated in the sport test and Van Bockxgrave's Oldenburg bred Forever Romance (by Foundation x Sir Donnerhall) earned the highest total of 8,23 points with 8 for walk, 8.2 for trot, 8.5 for canter, 8.2 for rideability and 8.3 for general impression. Eminem M (by Emilio Sanchez) was the runner-up with 8.10 points.
